I havnt been out running for a while now. Since Oct last year. My mam hasnt been too well and past away 2 weeks ago.

I have found myself comfort eating over these past months and ive gained over a stone. Im going to go back out there again. I have been going to gym classes but i dont get the same feeling.

I like to lose myself in myself nothing like the out doors. Im also hoping to do the great north run too for the memory of my mam.

So sorry to hear such sad news. Good for you doing something positive and having a goal to achieve in her memory. Wishing you the very best of luck with the programme, take good care of yourself.

So sorry about losing your mam. A hard time. I agree with you about being outdoors. Its so much nicer than being in some harsh gym environment. Good luck as you start again and to run in memory of your mam is lovely.

So very sorry for your sad loss. Yes, running is absolutely what you need at this time, so get those trainers on and go lose yourself in the great outdoors. There is a quote that springs to mind.."We lose ourselves in the things we love....we find ourselves there too". Take care

x

So sorry to hear you've lost your mam. Getting fit through running is a great way to honour her memory - I'm sure she would be proud.

Be kind to yourself , and I hope you find some peace of mind in your running.

What a fantastic tribute it would be to your Mam if you did the GNR in honour of her .
