Moving on

Hi I've never been much of a poster And it's been a while but I've been plodding I with running. I finally (16 weeks after starting!!) graduated in December and since then I've completed 6 park runs and joined a local running club doing a 3 mile slow run every week. I managed a 7km at the weekend on my own (go me!!!) so tonight I'm going to try a 7mile with the running club. Hopefully I'll be able to do it!!

I would be cautious about the 7 miles though that is quite a big jump in distance from your 7 km .

The recommended increase is usually 10% of your weekly distance

That isn't to say you shouldn't or can't do it.

Wow, congratulations on your progress. I'm with Slow_Rob though: the leap from 7k to 7miles is a massive one all in one go - 7 miles is over 11km. Good luck but be very careful. You don't want to stall your progress by getting injured.
