Was doing great, having reached W4R3 and really enjoying it - now laid up with flu. Am so fed up with myself and can't wait to get back on it

Aww! Don't be too disheartened. Happened to me when I started Wk 9 and I was gutted as so close to finishing! I took a week off and didn't expect too much of myself when I started the week again but it was fine. Take as long as you need though as flu is a nasty beastie :-(

Thank you so much - I was worried about sliding backwards on the schedule so your experience is reassuring! 😄

Oh botheration! These things happen but you are super-enthusiastic about your return. While you languish on the couch with the Beechams and a hot water bottle you could perhaps flick the pages of the internet to look for running stuff and imagine how life will be once you get back on the road. Perhaps think about your new running year and what it will look like. Time will just fly by. Take care meanwhile x

Chin up... get better and then get out there...!

I am currently crocked with Bronchitis..yuk.. but trying to plan new routes in my head... and a bit if gentle strength and flex exercise indoors when I feel not too rough..

Planning new adventures when I get out there again... you could do the same!

I think loads of us are being bothered by pesky winter bugs, when really, the only bug we enjoy being bitten by, is this running bug! :)

don't worry - you'll be fine. depending on how long you are laid up for maybe repeat week 4? I had a holiday and an illness in my weeks and each time repeated the week before I went off. also repeated week 5 and 6 anyway until i was comfortable moving on. Don't worry if it takes more than 9 weeks. Many of us took longer but completed and kept running. You are on the road and doing great. Keep going :)

Aw Chin up xxx

That's the great thing about running , its always there waiting for us to get back into when we have to take time off .

I know you must be as sick as a chip for not being able to get out there , but please rest and get yourself well .

Your trainers will be waiting by the door, ready for you to slip into when youre better :-)

Take care and I hope you feel better soon xxx
