I've been away for a while and start C25k back up just before Christmas. I'm having a bit of a break as my knees were playing up, but now I have my motivation to get back on to it and finish....I've signed up to my first run....the Cambridge Wineathlon!
I know this isn't a serious run and it's I have plenty of time to train, but I tend never to commit to anything like this because I know how flakey I can be. But thanks to a friend who does lots of things like this (and has tried to encourage me to go along in the past) I've bitten the bullet and gone for it!
Next week I'm going to start up on W5R1 and see how I go and hope that by September I can run 10k!

Sounds like a blast and good motivation to keep you running. For some of us running is best when not taken too seriously, though running any distance is a serious accomplishment and goal to have, no matter the race refreshments.
You do have two skills you need to train for. Running and wine drinking. Good luck with the practice on both fronts.
