Another benefit!

To all those ladies bemoaning the lack of movement in the scales despite their running, the linked article makes good reading. You need to get about 2/3 of the way through, but basically it says that although your weight may not reduce it is having a dramatically good effect on the amount of visceral (really bad) fat that you carry around your vital organs.

Another reason to keep going!

Thanks Ullyrunner. That will keep me motivated to keep going. I have not lost a pound since I started the programme over 3 months ago although that is not the only reason I started running. I feel fitter, healthier and stronger so not losing weight doesn't really bother me but to know that running does amazing things to your insides is an added bonus!

I have not lost much but I have gained a lot of muscle tone around my waist. I feel so much better.

Folks have to be patient. Weight loss takes time. The more you keep moving, and keep eating/drinking healthily the quicker the weight will shift

I am doing an ab shredding workout which is working at toning my middle and helping to pull up my post weight loss slack. You have to put the work in ☺to see improvements

I am on a Daily Mail exclusion diet (very, very healthy!) so didn't click the link but it would be nice to think there was less visceral fat inside me than the wobble outside would indicate.
