Hi all. I seem to have solved my weak calf problem (fingers crossed) with the help of some sound advice from this lovely community. I've been running for a couple of years now - graduated spring 2014 then over this year have been off my game due to illness and an op. Totally lost my motivation.
Anyhoo... I am back to trotting around and thoroughly enjoying myself (mostly) but had got a bit bored of running along to music as I have a terribly short attention span. So I tried downloading a couple of podcasts - in this case the Simon Mayo confessions. It's a revelation! I am so busy listening to the stories and chuckling away to myself that I forget that I am running and feeling the burn! Maybe this'll help some of you guys out 😊

Ha ha, some of those are hilarious. I love listening to them. Sports guy makes me laugh more than the confessions! He's so funny. Anything that helps keep you from getting bored on runs has to be a boon. Good for you!
I love the confessions, they are on the radio on my way home. I agree, the sports guy definitely makes them more fun! I never thought about podcasts that's a great idea.
My kids had the Simon Mayo 'confessions' book for bedtime stories a few years ago.....Actually now I come to think of it perhaps that's where it all went wrong😁
