W6R3 disaster. Sympathy needed please.

Hi I'm Sonya, been doing really great with the C25k app until today ..

Went out in the pouring rain, ran for 12.5 minutes and gave up. Far too windy, my feet got wet and my waterproof jacket was making me hot and bothered. Seriously annoyed with myself right now. Should I start the whole of week 6 again or restart w6r3? Thank you.

Just repeat the one run. Put it behind you and do the next run the day after tomorrow.

You take your jacket off when you get hot and tie it round your middle. A running cap is a boon at times like this. They might still have some left at Aldi, the ones with LED lights in the brim! Cheap as chips!

As for wet feet, well running shoes are designed to let water pass through. So, you can either run without socks or get some of those socks which are like a second skin and will keep your feet dry. They are branded as "Skins" and are expensive, but some report on here seeing the same thing in Aldi I think it was, and obviously much cheaper. Running in pouring rain is not that bad. It helps cool you down. I think the thought of running in it is worse than the reality, and you sort of get used to it. Bit of a pain if your specs get steamed up though, which is why a peaked cap comes in handy

Don't get fed up. We all have our off days. Chin up!

Just have another go at this run - it was just a bad day, made worse by wind and rain! You'll be fine next time!

Next run will be better. It's a learning process when the new seasons come to test our clothing choices. You'll figure out what works best with some trial and error.

Everyone has bad runs, just repeat the one you didn't finish, no point in punishing yourself any further!

There are runs like that - no worries. Put it behind you, get yourself some of that snazzy gear Miss W talked about up at the top there, and give the same run a go again - no need to repeat the entire week!

You can do it.

I would just redo run 3.

I think you picked the wrong day. It happens. So see it as a small jog in the park, as a warm up, and go for your run 3 tomorrow.

Couldn't sleep, so at 5.30 this morning I got ready and smashed a whole 25 minutes run. I couldn't believe it when Laura said I only had 60 seconds to go. I felt like I could've kept going!

Thanks again everyone!
