Goodbye intervals, hello dark nights.

Well that's the second run of week six done and dusted - no more intervals! I'm slightly anxious about the prospect of non stop runs from now on, but it does at least make me feel more like a proper runner 😊 Today wasn't as tough as the first run of this week, and I managed to pick up the pace a little towards the end.

Today was my first run in the dark. i have to admit I had a good nosy at people's front rooms as I was running by...well if they don't shut their curtains! Looking forward to doing the same in a few weeks when people will have their Christmas decs up. Simple things 😊

You have to take your pleasures where you can :-)

I do exactly the same. I love it when we are in the car as I can nose to my hearts content, with no prospect of tripping over. I love to see the Christmas decs too.

I think you will find you are more than ready for continuous runs now. I found that after a while intervals became a pain with all the stop-starting, much better to just keep on running as you get into a nice rhythm. I haven't actually run in the dark yet. Just getting over a cough and cold but I think nosing into people's houses might make running in the dark more interesting! Not looking forward to it tbh, the lights round my village are rather dim so worried about falling down a hole or something!

It certainly was interesting! I was running on residential streets but never really noticed how dark it would actually be between lamp posts. Maybe a head torch is in order?!

Doing great TPC! Good luck with the longer runs!

I've only done one run in the dark as yet, and have the prospect of more to come. I like your tip of looking through windows πŸ˜‰ Beware of the soggy leaves underfoot too!

I ran in the dark last night! I was only scared by three rabbits and one cat! The cat was the big scare, as it was hiding in some weeds. I'm surprised I didn't trip and fall as it ran away, and I did all but scream!

I ran in the dark last night in an attempt to avoid my treadmill! I promised hubby I would only run on the roads with street lights which wasn't a difficult promise to keep given I found them really dark! Obviously, the little village I live in has limited options for lit routes as I ran past "the man in yellow" twice and "the man in red" three times. Obviously we were all doing the same thing (in the rain). It's no wonder non - runners think we're bonkers!
