Getting confused....๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Just posted on the Bridge to 10k forum, thinking I was on this one! Aagh - all a bit confusing! This is still the forum for me, as a recent graduate who is still consolidating my 5k - but I'm glad that lots of those running longer distances still post on here with their stories and support. We would miss you guys if you all left - it is the huge mix of ability and stages of running journey that makes this forum what it is and it would be sad to see that change. Having said that, I do sneak over to Bridge to 10 k now and then and find myself thinking, "mmm - maybe in the new year, I'll up my distance ...๐Ÿ˜‰

I bet you won't be able to resist! 10 k is a great distance to get in your running repertoire. You can take your time getting there as it's best to progress steadily to avoid injury

Absolutely, I'm in no rush but it does start to feel a bit more like this (50yr) old body is capable of a lot more than I ever gave credit! And THAT is GOOD for the soul!๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜€

I have been using this forum for almost two years now - and I have noticed that MANY MANY regular posters here have dropped off the Forum over time. Some graduates stay around for longer - but it seems to me that eventually all graduates will slowly no longer participate regularly here. There are many reasons for this I guess -- so personally I am happy that a new forum for graduates has emerged. It is ironic that it is called Bridge to 10K - because many have advanced much further than 10K :)

We will all have to wait and see how the two current forums (5k/10K) develop. I am hoping that , with the advent of the new 10K forum, that it will help to maintain interest amongst graduates here - and we will not lose so many in future.

Yes - I thought it was a little odd that it was "limited" at 10k. My winter project is to increase my distance beyond10k! I do think it is the great mix of experience on this forum that makes it so useful. It certainly regularly reminds me of how it all started and where it could still take me :)

Me think Once I am back doing 6K easy, I will carry on C25K+, then have a go at bridge to 10K. My bucket list has HM so I better start cracking ๐Ÿ˜„

It would be a shame if the wise ones were to leave! I am still trying to stay with my 30 mins at the mo having hit rocks and hard places since graduating. Really, I need to feel 'comfortable' with my half hour and occasional 5k before moving onward; but it's great to hear tales of those more competent runners!

My sentiments also

When I view the news feeds I can see both the 5k and 10k forums mixed together, which is good. It's only when I post that I can select which forum it goes to.

There's a 10K forum too? Hmm. I quite like our little lounge, actually. I'm staying here. Pass the coffee and the Hobnobs.

Why not visit both? Twice the fun. You could have longer coffee breaks - but not more hobnobs, or your life would be the forums and running off the hob nobs :-)

p.s. could I have a hob nob if there's a spare please?

Hmmm. I'll think about it, but all my running pals have been here since I started lurking at the beginning of C25K. Not sure I want to change playgrounds now. Of coure you can have a hobnob - chocolate or plain? THey're virtual ones, so we can eat as many as we like. HUZZAH!

That's the way I felt but you can see posts to both communities in your feed if you follow both. I thought C25k had gone a bit quiet but it was because they're all posting on the other one. :) I rather enjoy the stories of those more experienced than me as inspiration when I was pre-graduation so I hope that doesn't stop.

I already spend way too much time lurking around here - if I get going on the other forum too, I won't have time to go running :)

Chocolate- always chocolate :-)

I'm playing in both - lots of your old friends are too and, as has been said, the newsfeed gives posts from both (although I don't use the newsfeed).

And really, there's nothing to stop undegraduates(?) looking at the other site too.

Yeh I don't want to leave the c25k forum yet, as it's where I learnt to love running and the support, stories and experience from the experienced graduates, was really encouraging as I worked through the programme. I don't have much experience myself, but any bit of support or knowledge I can pass on to those starting out, I try to. I have a nosey in at the b210k, but as I'm not back to running yet, can't really contribute to the forum massively just yet.
