Make sure your trainers fit properly. I normally buy a size or half size more than my normal shoe size as your feet expand during exercise. Cold weather - use layers, invest in running skins/tights. Well done on completing 2 runs. Also use blister plasters. Good luck

Well done for starting! As GF said, your shoes have to fit well, and also invest in a good pair of socks, I personally find that decathlon trail running socks are very good, and not too expensive. The other pair that I like is called 'hilly', mono skin .

Hi. So far Ive not suffered with blisters. Are your running shoes big enough/fit well? Also tied up securely enough?? Must be a footwear issue. I'm sure you can get it sorted. Good luck and keep going!!

I think it's cause there new and the back of the shoes is like rock solid

I'd echo the shoe / sock thing. When I first started running I ran in "normal" trainers. I quickly swapped to lightweight, designed for running shoes and they made the world of difference. They weren't hugely expensive and I figured that I needed to be kind to my feet. Good luck and keep it up :-) xx

Hi .. well running on fields/mud with rain/wet is a whole other issue. I posted about and got tonnes of replies with different advice for the right trainers. Have a look:

I've just ordered some 'trail trainers' with gore-tex which are meant to keep your feet dry (in theory) .. but if you're hardcore and splashing through puddles, ditches then water will obviously still come in, so some people favour running trainers which are quick-dry/let water water flow through. I'm still a little confused about it all!

Never had blisters, so as previous posters have said about correct size for running shoes, compeed or Vaseline or plasters on blisters & cushioned running socks, look after your feet!

I never thought that all these things mattered I thought it would be a bit like running u do at school

I don't have blisters and my shoes r just cheap Sports Direct ones, ouch that is going to be uncomfortable for you. It would be worth thinking about different ways of lacing ur shoes, look on You Tube because there is a heel lock using the top 2 holes that I use that keeps the shoe snug. Hope u find a way to run and stop the soreness. Julie

I suffered from blisters on the insides of my big toes when I started running longer distances. Two pairs of running socks and anti friction cream got me through (plus blister plasters). I honestly think there was also an element of feet just toughening up!

Good luck. Keep posting on here for support ☺
