But the mojo is weak :o(

After my hateful run on Sunday today has been my first outing. I did 30 minutes and it was ok, not hateful, not wonderful, just ok.

Have struggled with getting out this week (hence first run is today) and not very pleased with myself. My teaching timetable is a nightmare this year meaning most days start early and end late and by the end of the day I'm shattered.

Am going to have to think really hard about which days I run and see how it goes.

You might find that if you shuffled off for a really, really slow run at the end of the week's most shattering day that it might help clear the cobwebs? Go and do one that you now know is going to be easy for you, so you're completely relaxed about it, but getting the blood flowing a bit. Just a thought.

I've considered that but so far it hasn't worked! As I see I'll have to see how things feel in the next two weeks.

I can sympathize. I used to be a teacher and after an 11 hour day a run would not have seemed like a good idea. Hope you find a way round it.

Thanks. It's a toughie. I will see what I can do. If I have cut back to just one run in the week for a while, so be it I guess.

& of course the darker mornings won't be helping fit anything in 😢 & thats a real pain. Oh dear.

I can also sympathise as I leave the house normally around 6.45am and don't get back until around the same time in the evening, but at least I have tge occassional opportunity to work from home which helps squeeze in the odd run.

I do hope you can find a workaround x

Thank you. If I was any good at mornings I'd get up and go then but I'm barely functioning!!

Life can get in the way and conspire to make it difficult , hope things calm down and you can see away to get out and run :D

I'm going to have to make it happen I think - I hate it when I don't run so there's no way I can give it up!!

as autumn and winter approaches dark morning and evenings don't make it easier .... but I know what you mean would hate to have to stop running !

Perhaps take a leaf out of the commuters, handbook. Your best runs will probably have to be at the weekend I suppose. I live in commuter land and the riverside paths are generally heaving with athletic bodies overtaking me at the weekend. In the week possibly the gym treadmill is an option - especially as days shorten. Weekday evenings the treadmills are all running at full pelt at my local gym.

I am also with gary_bart , there are tremendous benefits using running as therapy to counter the busy busy days. I taught, and was much better mentally when I cycled or walked the journey to and from work - I never ran though!

Inevitably it has to be less running during term time at the outset but here is betting once you have a workable routine in place the more you do, the more you will find time to do. Like caffeine it is addictive and you need your fix!

I know how are feeling, the last few weeks I've only just managed one run a week !

I leave the house at 6 15am and get back around 7pm and I've got no enthusiasm to go out and run.

I've slightly given up at the mo cos its just too hectic . On the bright side, my working hrs change in October so I'm hoping to get back into running 3 times a week and finally finish c25k

Glad it's not just me struggling with this! Let's hope we can both get I to some kind of routine in the not too distant future.
