Did week 3 run 2 today after a week of slovenly living on holiday. The week before my hols,I felt like a haulage truck chugging along in slow mo. But after a week of lazing around with a bit of activity in the form of swimming and walking I started back today feeling rather nervous that it would be hard work. Surprisingly I felt rather light of foot. It felt like my legs suddenly knew what to do and knees and shins felt stronger and not so tight. Ooh hope this continues as I actually enjoyed it.maybe holidays are a good thing for running π

I suppose if single day rest breaks work by tissue repair happening on the day off it might well be that at times the right kind of break (ironically, the kind of break you need to take to progress) might be for a week. In a week, imagine how much reconstruction your body can do. Nice to feel that way, anyway. But the best thing is you enjoyed it. Now you know that there's always the possibility as you go out that door that you're going to really have fun.

Hi Lucy, the holiday seems to have helped the running, even with the extra yummy treats I allowed myself-well I was on holiday!
Great that you are now on week 4 and running for a bit longer each time.its great this programme, isn't it! Just when you think you can't go much further, Laura gives you a new challenge and you reach the next goal. π
