Onwards to wk 9! Who'd have thought....

Well, I'm amazed to be typing that I've finished wk 8 and am ready - ish to contemplate wk 9. I can remember so clearly how tough it felt to run for five minutes ( or even 60 secs, at first) - and here I am having done 3x28 mins. It's a great programme - now I feel the difficulties are mostly psychological, rather than physical.

Apart from a bit of arthritis in my knee, I've had no physical issues during the programme other than some stiffness in my hips the day after running - well, I'm nearly 52 😣 ) and the arthritis was there to start with anyway!

After the last two runs I've learned that running after eating is a mad and stupid idea - I felt I was dragging myself through each minute of running - and that I need to have a clear idea of my route in my head, or I'm far too tempted to just head for home when it all feels too much!

I haven't posted much on here but have gained ( and still gain! Sometimes it feels lonely out there, even with Laura!) so much encouragement from people's replies and from reading other people's posts. Thanks everyone xx

Well done Juliet. Only three runs to go! Enjoy that feeling when you graduate as there's nothing like it.
