Graduation! :)

Finally finished C25k!!! After a few weeks of hip & knee pain and easing back into week 9, I've finally done it:)

I ran the full 30 mins but I only did 2.5 miles (4k), would it be better to do the 5k improver plan or can I go straight onto five to 10k?

Or should I do the 5k at a steady pace before either of these programmes?:)

Thanks! :)

Congratulations! I finished a week ago! Feels good doesn't it??

I must jog at roughly the same speed as you.

I've done 3 5k runs this week. Slow and steady. It's taken between 38/40 minutes. I'm building up my confidence jogging them distances for a good few weeks before I plan on doing some 30 minute jogs with some speedy(ish!) intervals in it!

Congratulations - I hope you're feeling proud!

It's up to you but I would consolidate at 5 k first hen move on when ready.

I think work towards 5k at a steady pace consolidate that and then decide where to go next ;) there is so much to choose from and plenty of support on here :) Happy running :) :)

Well done for graduating! I think that going for the 5K first sounds like the best idea - slowly slowly catchy 10 k. Or something like that.

Ran 5k last night:) took me 40 mins :( but about 20 mins in I got the horrible hip/knee pain again.

I can run at 7mph but I get out of breath at about 15 mins in. I think I'm going to run at 7mph for those 15 mins and then just try build up to 30 mins from there.

Why the sad smiley? (Contradiction in terms there, but never mind.) You ran 5K! Well done! If your hip/knee are giving you gip, don't push them too fast.

I really hoped I'd be faster:( thank you though! I've found that if I have 3-4 days between runs, the pain is less :)

Well done. Feels great doesn't it?

Please do just take my advice tho (I ignored everyone's advice)

I did the 30 minutes and then started doing 5ks the following week. I did it in about 38 minutes. I did 3 5ks a week for 3 weeks. It was too much too soon! I'm currently unable to jog with immense hip pain! Either do 30 minutes and build on distance or build up from 30 mins each week by no more than 10%.

I'm not saying you will get the pain. Just wish I'd taken it slowly as I've had to stop for the meantime xxx
