YAY! I did it! For my final run I upped the pace a little bit. Usually manage 2.9 miles from warm up to warm down, but this time I managed 3.05 miles (about 4.95km) and saved a 30 second "sprint" (ahem) at the finish.

Next stop, Park Run... if my swollen knee goes down! 😀

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me along the way, and for the great advice when I hit a few hurdles in week 8.

It took me 22 weeks to complete but I guess that just means I'm the tortoise, rather than the hare.

I raise my celebratory glass of whisky and coke to you all!

Yay!

Well done - and it's no dishonour to do it in 22 weeks. The point is that you did it!

Hope the knee improves quickly.

Cheers!

Congratulations on completing the program. It's a massive personal change if it takes 9 weeks or 22. I look forward to reading about your future running adventures and hearing about that parkrun.

Now get some ice on that knee and some whisky in that glass. Hip hip hooray!

Many congratulations Ruthie. Look after that knee- maybe try some of Rignold's squats to strengthen it.

Well done. You did it at your steady pace. The goal is to be able to run in 30 minutes. And you have done it. Carry the badge with pride.
