W8r3 as a Bubble Run!

Today I completed w8 run - with a difference. About 6 weeks ago a friend asked if I wanted to do a Bubble Run for charity. I obviously hadn't long been on the C25k programme but decided to commit to it as a way to make sure I kept going. It was a lot of fun. Basically after every km you run through a floor of bubbles. I honestly cannot believe it but I finished the 5k in 27 minutes! I am not a fast runner and have not paid a lot of attention to the speed - in fact I wonder if they under measured the route. Being in a group situation definitely spurred me on. I've decided to graduate next Saturday at the local park run. Keep going all. It is so worth it!!

  • OOh that's brilliant, well done you x

  • Thanks! I think it was definitely less than 5k. I need to get some sort of measuring device - thinking about a Fitbit?

  • I love my Garmin, and I love to see what everyone else has done too. You could try one of the free apps to if you have a smart phone, Runkeeper, Map my run, or Endomondo. I tried RK and MMR, both a bit hit and miss but not bad for free. Try one of those first and then see if you want to spend the money on a dedicated device.

  • Thanks! Really helpful! X
