On 5th May I started the C25K programme little did I know that 27 runs later on 2nd July I would be able to run continuously for 40 minutes. Yes that is right and not a typo. As I was preparing myself to leave the house I decided to time my run and to run for 40 minutes (the whole of Laura's podcast). I wanted to make sure that I covered 3 miles before finishing the run. I do have my eyes on a Garmin watch once I have completed my Race for Life event at the end of this month.
I can honestly say that the C25K programme is the best invention ever for a newbie runner. I can tell you know that before May I would have said pigs have wings if someone said to me by July you will be comfortable running for 30 minutes and not stop.
Onwards to my next goal post - the ever popular annual 10K race in mid September.

Thank you. I went for a run yesterday knowing that my destination was 3 miles and when I got there I checked my time and did it in 37 minutes. I am a very pleased person x
Thank you. I went out yesterday and ran for 37 minutes and didn't feel at all breathless. My legs on the other hand were begging me to stop (but that was the gremlins in my head and not aches and pains)
