W2 R1 Tonight... FOR SPARTAAAA!!!

HanPanStrawberryJam profile image

So I'm off to the gym after work to attempt week 2 run 1 for the first time.... terrifying.

I'm in the right head space and feeling confident that it's inside the realms of possibility, I just need to take it easy and relax into it.

My sins are a little bit sore today but not horrendous, I think I need new trainers, anyone got any suggestions on awesome running footwear?

hope it went well and it wasn't to hot in there :)

best option is to get your gait analysis done and get the right shoes for you ,depends on your budget etc

You will get a few aches and pains as your dody gets used to your new regime . so maybe worth waiting a while to see if things settle down abit

Go get gait analysis at Sweatshop or some other reputable running shop, you won't regret it- not least because they have a 30day no quibble guarantee, so if they're not quite right, you can take them back and swap them, even if you've run outside in the mud! Hope you're shins are ok

You are a Spartan. What is your profession?

(here you say Aroo! Aroo! Aroo!)

You will crush this challenge, have no doubt.

Getting gait analysis for footwear is a good idea, but tbh in the first few weeks, especially on a treadmill, is really not that essential. You will have some aches and pains as your feet an legs an joints get used to the new demands you put on them but you can deal with that.

Who are you?

(here you say I am a Spartan!, and pound that treadmill as though it were Xerxes himself.)
