Freeze Pops

Hi Lovely Forum People

Gosh our runs are getting warmer!! Finding ways to stay hydrated without bottles or bags to lug around is both difficult and cumbersome to most. Trawling the internet I found a 'Fitsip' but they are quite expensive- look good though. I have been relying on Capri suns they are ok too but last night I thought I had a genius moment. I always keep freeze pops in the freezer for the children they are small compact and fit nicely into pouches of a sports bras, pockets etc - keeping you cool while still iced. Worked a treat for me and just wanted to share with anyone who struggles with the heat like I do. Anyone interested in the Fitsip here is the link: fitsip.com/. Keep cool and Happy running :)

They look good. Dear though but i expect they'll come cheaper if SD start stocking them, or lidl ☺

I hate carrying water so i would like to try one.

They do but the max carry is 200ml something to bear in mind when long running. Nice to hear from you.. hero! x

Don't think that Fitsip is for me at that price.

Ice pops does sound like a good idea, might well give that a try if I don't get on with the water bottle.

fitsip looks good but expensive. Freeze pops sound good but sitting here looking at the rain pelting down, I can't imagine one in my sports bra! Brrrrr x ;-)

I think carole takes them in their unfrozen state :)

No they are frozen because i cannot stand the heat being Irish or just me!! My sports bra has pockets on the exterior so no skin contact but still cooling. Rain not recommended but on extreme days a consideration. Hope all is well x

Great tip carole01 must resist the cornetto approach though Madonna did it way too well all those years ago :-) Only 200 ml for the fitsip would need one on each arm!!

So true and I am now visualising your Cornetto look!! The Fitsip is kind of a quick fix between long runs and races. It will find a market no doubt .

I'm going to resort to my 2 litre "water bladder" I use for trekking pretty soon, I have a mini rucksack it'll fit into - sorry can't think of make at mo' - maybe it'd be ok to cool it in the freezer before a run!
