Getting out there

Everything seemed to be trying to put me off my run tonight. The weather (as many others have commented) was awful! Wind, rain, huge puddles, slippery paths etc it was really not nice. Then my headphones and music apps seemed to go crazy. Laura suddenly jumped from the start of the warm up walk to 'let's run'. Finally got it all sorted and I have to say, despite the weather, it was actually pretty good to be out running.

A few weeks ago I would have put off leaving the house to even go for a walk in the rain. Today I was out running, getting wet and in a weird way, enjoying it. What is happening to me?!!!

Still hoping for slightly better weather for my next run though!

I know the feeling of not even stepping out the door in the rain but today I bought a waterproof jacket and thought sod it, if it rains, so what??! Amazing what this running bug does to you eh??!

Mmm - think I have been going through this same transformation. Getting up early.....running in the rain...enjoying it! Do you think we might be turning in to ....'runners'?!

Good for you... I'm going out in the morning, even having viewed the forecast with trepidation...out with the waterproofs!

Well done for getting out there, I am off for my W2R2 run tomorrow and forecast is awful. It's going to be first run in rain and wind, still looking forward to it! Does that mean I'm hooked already :)

We were forecast 60 mph gusts today so I got out before that arrived but it was still pretty blowy! At one point it was so windy I couldn't hear Laura telling me what was coming next!

I was making every excuse not to go out for a run yesterday evening after work - got to go to shops, don't feel like it, it is to hot out (27 degrees - live in Cyprus).......but eventually i did it and am so glad that i did, i remember thinking this is great what was i thinking not wanting to do this.......I am only on W2 run 2 but feel so much better for it. I try and remember how i feel when i have completed the run when i am making excuses not to go out. Good luck.

Well done. Unlike you and some of the others here I have not gone out this morning as the rain is sideways with 55 mph gusts. I will use the treadmill tomorrow though although I hate it. What happened to spring?
