I just felt I had to write a post as to why we all should have a pat on the back.

My main job on this site is to administer the graduation badges. It's a job I love doing and it warms my heart every time a little email pops up in my inbox. The last four weeks have been so busy as lots of people have graduated.

It just got me to thinking that it's down to everyone on this forum that helps everyone else go through and get to graduation and I feel like I should share the fact everyday nearly I have at least one graduation badge to give out sometimes many more.

I know we all sing the praises of the c25k program and about how good it is and it is, but also lets not forget it's all you wonderful people on here who help everyone out, whether it's a shoulder to lean on after a bad run. A high five after an great run or support through an injury.

If you could see the amount of graduation badges coming through at the moment you would have every reason to feel proud of being part of this.

I sure there are many more graduating this year than last. We are the slow quiet anti obesity movement.

Well done and thanks to each and every one of you. Including the lurkers.

Ahh, that is so nice to hear. I too get the impression that loads of people have carried through their New Years resolutions successfully in 2015.

We should all give a resounding thank you back for all the tireless work you do in administering the site RFC. It wouldn't work without you my dear!

Thanks for keeping us all administered, RFC! Do you have any stats for how many people have graduated in total/by year/ anything like that? It would be interesting to know. It would also be interesting to know how many people who graduated are still running, though I appreciate that's beyond your mystic powers to find out!

There are no stats for graduation but you got me thinking. What if I pinned a post on the first of every month for graduation badges. Say this month graduation badge May 2015. Then I didn't delete it all month we could then come up with our own stats. I could post a monthly graduation report. Do you think that would work?

That sounds like a fabulous idea. This is such an amazing programme, it would be nice to get some stats and take them to our MPs, GPs, schools etc ??? and to get more publicity/participation.

I completely agree - I think I would have thrown in the towel around week four if I hadn't decided to change from lurking on the forum to posting a request for advice. It's a wonderfully friendly place to hang out and goes to prove that the ideal tools for getting happy and healthy are not only easily available, but are scot-free and rewardingly interactive: the peer support and advice found on this forum are the way to go. Watch out for your email box, I'll be asking for my graduation badge soon, only three runs left!

Oh yeah, I would most likely have gone back to the couch and the Kitkats if it wasn't for this forum and all the brilliant people on it. Thank you, RFC!

Aw what a lovely post !

Yes , this forum and the people on it are amazingly supportive. Loads of advice, encouragement , kicks up the bum ( when needed ) and lots of laughs too ( especially the laughs ha ha !)

Thank you so much RFC as all this wouldn't work without people like you holding it all together xxx

I had a little tear in my eye reading that! I think I might be one of the May graduates if I can avoid accident or injury in the next 3 weeks :-D

Thank you for all you do. This place is amazing.

This place really is so so supportive, would never have got so far with my running without it. I think we need to create stickers or something to go on tops on races to show off where we started and get more people involved!

This forum and everyone on here is great. The programme works but the help and motivation on here goes so much further than the programme alone. I would like to say thank you to everyone especially the Admin people for keeping me going. I have laughed and cried at posts on here. I have received so many lovely comments, tips, motivational nudges etc. and feel that this forum is part of my success and my growing passion for running :) :) :)

YOU ARE WONDERFUL - Happy Running :) :) :)

Do you know what when I returned to the UK I saw so many runners, is it because as a runner, did I spot them now or is it because there are lots more out there. I think it's because there are more out. When I went around our tiny village, I saw 2!! last year there was only me and my partner. Hopefully if there are enough runners in the UK the government might invest dedicated cycle/running paths etc

Happy running folks!!

to be fair, it is now the season for runners - new and old, all inspired by the marathon on the telly! the real test (as always) is when the nights draw in again In September and October....

Great post RFC and I'll add my thanks to others for the amazing work you do on site admin. You're an unsung hero, so I'm going to sing your name out loud.

Great post, RFC! I speak to so many people who have heard of the programme and would like to try it but aren't quite sure. A quick read through the forum will show not only how great the programme is with so many new starters and new graduates but also how friendly the forum is with the amount of long-time graduates still hanging around offering advice, support or just plain-old perspective!

Thank you for dishing out the badges and long may they continue to rain into your inbox!!! Ok, that sounds just a touch weird ...

What a lovely post. And all so true of course :). I think the programme is fantastic and this place is just amazing.

Funnily enough I tried to set about listing the names and what I could remember about peeps on her during my run this morning. I can't now remember how far I got.. something obviously happened and my mind in another direction.. I will try to remember to do this again another day and actually take more notice of myself!

Everyone here is great and I know that I've taken support, help and advice from many of you, and I've had thank you's too for what I've said, so that's all just lovely.

Here's to continued happy runnings everyone :) xx

Great post, Rfc, and this is a great forum :) I don't tend to post much on here any more but I do read every day and I am continually amazed by the support and friendship shown on here. Happy running, everyone :)
