Taking to the track? W1

Hi all, I posted yesterday about struggling to find an appropriate route to run on because of the hills in my area. I have been in touch with my local stadium and I can run on their track for monthly membership. This also includes gym use and health suites too so I'm thinking this is the way forward.

I've also downloaded an app called nutra check, it's very similar to my fitness pal but it is far easier to navigate. After day seven there is a charge but I'm happy to pay it because it looks manageable.

I am running tomorrow, repeating week 1 so I will see how I get on with the easiest route I took last week which was near enough flat, if I don't get on ok then I'm hitting the track πŸ˜€

Well that all sounds incredibly positive! I sometimes think it's good if you're paying for something as it is an added incentive to stick to it. Why not make yourself a star chart for exercise and pounds lost so your little ones can get involved in your success? My little lad (now quite big) loved sticker charts!

I am childless and use a sticker chart to keep me running. And it works. Which is possibly a bit tragic, but I don't care because it works (and come on, stickers!!!!)

Haha, yeah, though I'm secondary so dunno how my A-level kids would feel about stickers!!!

They're all big kids still, they'd love 'em. They just wouldn't admit it :)

My a level students love stickers more than the juniors! They want to be kids again.... Fear of finally leaving school

My lot are desperate to be gone now! I'm going to miss them, truth be told.

I am the same! No children and love stickers!

Well done ! That was a brill idea. I bet you'll get along great guns there. My mate uses Nutracheck too and gets along with it fine. She's doing well with her healthy eating and keeping the weight off so it must be a good tool

Good luck with the plan!

I looked at my fitness pal but there is so much inputting, it's all done for you on this one which is so easy and if you do need to add anything it's just easier! Understand why they charge though! x

Good luck, you sound like you've got everything organised :)

That sounds like a great plan. And you can always run the hills whenever you feel like a challenge or a change in scenery- it's never either/or.
