The scenery can inspire you to keep running and running and running. My second ever 10k today, with a few stops and walks to review a map and a few turn-arounds to avoid herds of elk.

Ran mine along the river so flat as a pancake, but locals trail run that mountain every day.

Personally I would stop at "Always take your running shoes". That "hill" in the background is a bit of a climb though!

Beautiful, what a wonderful mesmerising view, that would certainly let your mind free wheel as the kms tick by! I'm taking my running shoes on hols this year, essential I would say!

Beautiful!!!! Training at altitude is amazing for your heart and lungs, by the way, and the benefits last longer than those gained in higher oxygen.

All of which technical waffle is purely to distract me from the fact that I'm green with envy. Enjoy it!

You're quite close to a 10k aren't you henpen? It felt lovely - I highly recommend giving yourself the push to get there.

Wow, what a coincidence ... if I was to take a photo out of my window here in the West Midlands I would get a very similar picture :D (I bloomin' wish!!)
