A great, if very wet, week 8 run 2 yesterday. I was proud of myself for getting out there in the cold rain and it was enjoyable. Started using Runkeeper which is giving me some useful info on how I'm doing....which is basically consistently slow! But I don't care. Then, a belated birthday present from best mates last night, presented to me in a bag with a famous 'swoosh' logo on the front! How happy was I ? Very!!! New running outfit in time for graduation week....yipppeeeee for me :) and after not seeing them since I began this amazing programme, it was also nice to know I'm looking visibly slimmer. Deep joy. Happy weekend all.

Sounds fab. Only real runners run in the rain :) I love Runkeeper. I was also consistently slow at week 8 but I just had a look back and I have come on leaps and bounds. Mentally I think I was taking it steady and concentrating on just running for the required time. Post graduation you can have a go at speeding up a little for a section to see how it feels. The other alternative (post graduation) is just to run for longer at your natural pace. Anyway, enough of me going on - you're on the final stretch now .... so close. It will feel amazingly good when you graduate. Good luck!!!!!!!

Fantastic! I am also consistently slow, but I think the key at this point is 'consistent'. Nearly there now, good luck!

Some lovely friends,I love new running gear. I have to stop myself buying any. Running does help change your shape which is a great. Not long to go until you get your graduation badge.

Happy birthday! What great mates to get you some new gear! I love Runkeeper and have used it since my first few runs. I still think I'm slow but was glad to have those stats that show I've gained some speed since those days. you'll speed up too, congratulations on your progress
