W6 R3 - but a bit further...

Was a bit nervous about last night's run - 25 mins! eek.

It just seems like a huge leap!

I started pretty slow jogging and soon got a steady pace - when it came to the final 60 seconds, I was feeling great. (not far from home and not far from 5km), so I carried on for a little bit.

I thought I'd try to see if I could either get home, get to 30mins running or get to 5km.

As a happy coincidence I got to my street as my watch registered 3.16 miles and 30 mins 77 seconds. Awesome! :)

I then had to walk away from my house for another 5 mins to cool down - but it felt brilliant to know that I can really do it and how far I've come in just a few weeks.

I will stick to the programme and go 25 mins next run - but felt really good last night. My knee pain seems to have gone too - so extra rest days and yoga must have really helped :) yay!

Gosh that's amazing is that. You must have been going great guns as that seems like a rather fast time. It's nice to get your head round how far 5k is, I'm still not 100% sure because I'm using endo mondo on my phone and I'd have to fiddle around with it still attached to my arm to check the distance, and I'm likely to loose my pace / breath then. It's a pity there isn't a bell or something that goes off when you reach the distance!! sounds like your flying through the program, very inspiring!

Thanks, I was really geared up for it that night.

Although 25 mins since has been tough slog.

It's not my first time around at C25K - i've graduated before, but not ran for a year or so. I think my fitness is gradually coming back. :)

I use my Garmin Forerunner watch to keep track of my distance and time. It can really help when I see it's just a couple on minutes left... :)

You can set a timer for the distance or time you want to run and an alarm goes off.

I can imagine its hard to see what's on your arm. My music is on my arm and I struggle do anything at whilst its attached.
