5 rest days !?!?!?

Due to unforseen circumstances (a car crash!!) I have had to take FIVE rest days between finishing week 3 and starting week4! Would it be advisable to continue with the week 3 runs for a couple of days before commencing week 4?

Thanks x

Assuming you weren't injured in the car crash, I would just start where you left off. 5 days shouldn't make too much difference.

I'm afraid I don't have any advice about the running, but I just wanted to say that I hope you're okay and not injured. To me though, five rest days doesn't seem much at all after a car crash!

Take care :-) xxx

Sorry to hear about the accident.

Five days is not too long to lose any fitness. Try W4r1 and if you really find it too hard, then complete W3 again. But I'm sure that you'll surprise yourself.

Blimey car crash doesnt sound good ,hope you and anyone else involved are all ok . I would say you should be ok to carry on with week 4 but you could do wk3 run again just to settle your mind on it , just look on it as extended rest days :D hope you will back fully recovered quickly :D

Hope you are ok.

I have just had 2 weeks off due to shin splints. I finished week 4 and have just done w5r1 so just a carried on where I left off. I did go really slow though

Straight on... if by some chance, it doesn't go well you'll have a reason which doesn't demoralise you as much as if you were to do another Week 3 and that didn't go well. And we sometimes find that extra rest days give us a totally unexpected boost!

Hope everything gets sorted out for you asap!
