They had their inaugural run last week with 21 runners - slowest came in at around 31 minutes - so I will definitely be at the very end of the field . They haven't got any "aged" runners yet - although they did have a young lad aged in his mid-50's this week :)

I like what you say in your profile ' always look behind where you've come from, not worrying about what lies ahead' Very good.

Oh how brilliant! Where do they hold the parkrun? I was in SF for New Year so was just a bit too early to give that one a go.

Looks idyllic. That course should take at least an hour. Going along the SF Bay Trail, Yacht Rd, Warming Hut, why would anyone rush that course. Just soak it in. Good to see that the Brits were well represented in their inaugural run, another activity exported to our cousins across the pond.

Heh heh! I WAS going to do a long run along that course - it's about 13Klm return from Fishermans Wharf - but wondered what I would do with my wife for that time?? This will be better for her - plenty to look at - and a shorter run for me.

He he he, they do indeed, but only in summer - it can be lovely and crisp and clear during winter. Hence the Mark Twain quote: 'The coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco'.

Well done Bazzer! San Fransisco ey. Fancy. Where next? Never mind running the world's marathons, you could run the world's park runs! Now there's an idea ...

We're there in their 'summer' so I had a look to see if there is one and couldn't find one. Now I know different I'll definitely incorporate that into the hols. Cheers Bazza!

Have pointed out the run to my big sister - she lives just north of SF and is a keen runner (though, as she runs Ultras, 5k is a bit on the short side for her!). She was desperate to go to a parkrun last time she was over in the UK and couldn't (she even brought over her barcode!), maybe you'll see her there...
