And it's this - everyone on here respects everyone else! We've all made positive life-changes, and achieved our aims through difficulties and hardships, despite work or family problems, and we're all WINNERS! :)

Very nicely put, John. It's truly great here; I've never been on a forum quite like it before; everyone is so friendly, helpful and supportive and completely non-judgmental; doesn't matter what stage of running someone is in: time, distance and ability - they run, they're here and that's it, the same amazing level of support is offered to everyone, and everyone learns from everyone else, regardless of ability.

We are pretty great here. :D

And so say all of us! I love to see everyone's thougts and progress here. If I only spent as much time running as on the forum, I'd be doing marathons by now!

Very well said John! It is a fab forum. I have to look on here every day even if I don't get time to post. I know I wouldn't have got out the door sometimes without the support here! Wonderful lot indeed! X :-D

I've given up Facebook and become addicted to here! Much much better for me!

Very true, well said. It's a great place for support, but we're not mawkish and kissy-kissy are we? We tell it like it is if it needs telling, you know you can believe what you hear on here, no one is going to give praise that isn't deserved... not sure I explained that very well, hope you know what I mean xxx

Curly, I had to look "mawkish" up! No, this place isn't sexist or ageist, and is non-condemnatory, which is why it's so pleasant to be here. Almost unique, I'd have thought! More power to it's elbow.

Completely agree; it's almost as addictive as running itself!

Well I've never been tempted by any other forum before - ever!

Love this place - could never have achieved without the support, advice, encouragement, friendliness etc etc..

Wish I had more time to visit every day but sometimes just can't make it :-(.

But I'm always here in spirit :-) xx

Very well said! Agree totally!!

I've just remembered when a friend of mine was doing C25K, he posted on whichever blog he was using asking why he had shin pain, the answers he got were -

Because you're not man enough

Aww have a biscuit you big nancy

You'll never be a runner, I'm better than you

Were you wearing tight shorts? MMmm I like tight shorts...

etc etc...

This really is a great place full of nice people. There's plenty of other forums to visit to annoy people ;)

So true. Couldn't have done any of it on my own. Only dip in here occasionally, but so glad it's still a source of encouragement, reassurance and humour!
