hello all well i began yesterdays long run with 10k speed run which got me through the city and past coton then it was time for the next part of 8.5 miles at easy pace so up the Madingley rd and up the hill and turned off towards comberton (in pic) from there i past through barton ,then on the footpath to grantchester from there to trumpington and that was 14 mile mark i felt ok so i had the one gel that i had and pushed on to cherry hinton ,at 17 miles i started getting muscle cramps on the back of my legs, stretch my legs a bit and that was the pattern for the last 3 miles i got to 20 miles (should be 14) in 2hrs 51 min which is bang on target for 3hr 45 marathon time being as ive got april i think i can get that down to 3.20 ,back on 14 milers for the next 3 sundays before my miles go up again prehaps next drink lots more water and take more then one gel rookie mistakes im making anyway on to next one happy running all

Well done Moger! It's hard going on these dark, blowy mornings but it will be all worth it when you cross that finish line in the time you set for yourself. Sounds like you'll do it as you have the bit firmly between your teeth. Sorry about the cramp. It must be worrying when you're quite far from home and it's cold. Pleased you managed to run it off though.

Fab Moger! Sounds like you have it all worked out. We learn as we go on don't we :-) I'm gradually increasing distance but not quite the miles you are doing!.....yet x :-D

Wow, that is a LONG run, and a great time for that distance. Sounds like you're learning during your training, and that's an important point. So well done, and I'm sure you'll do amazingly in April.

Goodness, you're going great guns aren't you? That's a very loooong run! Well done x
