First run in new shoes

Just had my first run in my new Asics trainers that I got for my birthday two days ago. They did not disappoint. Nice an bouncy, fit well no signs yet of rubbing, did a good time sub 30 minutes for 5 km. It was sad to put my faithful Nike trainers to one side to put the new Asics in the shoe cupboard they brought me through my C25K journey and my joy if running but now they have earned a rest.

My poor Asics are ready for an easier life but I still remember how thrilled I was when they were new. Like having lovely marshmallow soles. Think I should investigate trail shoes next.

I've kept my old shoes too and even though I can't wear them for running I can't bring myself to throw them out. Pleased your new ones passed the test.
