ALMOST completed run 3 week 3...

Flipping 'eck! This morning was hard...had to walk 10 seconds of the first 3 minute run but completed the rest. Definitely was to do with the wind and cold I was running against. Decided for next run will walk in one direction and then turn around so that I'm not running AGAINST the wind. Beautiful running alongside the beach but flipping cold round the old nethers... Going to go ahead and try week 4 but if problematic I'll do week 3 again. It seems the more difficult the run is the better you feel after? Or is that my imagination? I can't wait to lose more weight, got to be easier on my knees which are giving me a bit of gip, guessing that's par for the course at my age and weight.

Apart from being a miracle that I'm even attempting this, seems I've inspired a daughter, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters to start running on the C25K, cannot be bad!

well done you, thats fabulous....on your progress and getting others to do it too. And if you are finding it tough there is nothing wrong at all in doing each week twice. I know alot of people who have done that. And how beautiful to be running on the beach, but keep the nethers wrapped up warm :)

You've got a great approach and sounds like you're doing really well! I found the end of runs a mixture of 'woohoo' and 'phew, thank goodness'! so brilliant that you've inspired others to give it a go...that's a fab feeling! Enjoy the rest of the week. :D

Thanks, nice of you to reply. It's surreal...

the greater the challenge the greater the rewards? i would say so in this case :D you are doing great and running by a beach sounds great , no so keen on cold nethers either :)

Well done Jen for braving the elements ! Running in the wind is the pits , I agree.

Seems like you've recruited quite a few new team members there, good on ya !

Keep going Jen, you are doing so well , you can do this :-) xxx

I always find that the harder it feels, the greater the sense of achievement. I'm at the same stage at you - week 9 seems an awfully long way away! Good luck, Steve x

Well done, running against the wind is hard though it is nice running near the beach. Your enthusiasm is obviously infectious judging by the number of new runners you have recruited. Keep at it.
