Body of Evidence (1993)

Two years ago my hubby bought me a pair of (skin tight!) Ronhill leggings for my birthday. At that time I wasn't running and hadn't even heard of the C25K programme. I was going to the gym a couple of times a week on and off but wasn't really committed and hadn't found my exercise of choice.

As I didn't even know who Ronhill was I thought the leggings were for the gym and duly tried them on. Well........ I was always slim and lucky enough not to have a weight problem, BUT the leggings looked bloody awful on me. They were unforgiving! My legs were bumpy, lumpy, sticking out in places they shouldn't have, my thighs met in the middle, I wobbled, my ar*e had totally collapsed! You get the picture. OMG I couldn't even look in the mirror. I badly needed to tone up otherwise everything would just head further south with each passing year. There was NO way I was wearing those leggings to the gym so I kept them in a drawer and forgot about them. Until today.

I was looking for something else and found them. Cor blimey, I thought, they're a pair of Ronhill's! Clever hubby! So I tried them on.

I couldn't believe the transformation. They fitted perfectly. My legs were slim and toned, my bum was tight and perky, my tummy was flat (ish). I looked like ....... well I looked like a runner! So I wore them today and felt absolutely fantastic!

I was chuffed to bits especially as toning was not a priority for me. Getting fit was. But what an unexpected gift.

Thank you running. It just gets better and better.

Thanks AncientMum. Feel great. No pics afraid as I'm way too shy....although I could get hubby to take one of my bum! Not sure how he'd react to that.

You show me yours and I'll show you mine!!!! Lycra can tuck in lots of cellulite and I wouldn't dare show you the 'before' cellulite pics I took a couple of months ago in my knickers! I vowed not to look at them again for six months, and then I would compare them, in the hope that some of that cellulite would have melted away! Boys will be banned - is there a screening button on this forum??!!

Irishprincess profile image

Now there's a challenge and the answer is ...... no thanks. The only person I've ever seen who has no cellulite is my 82 year old mother! Seriously. A screening button would be great but I'm sure the boys would have their own comparisons!

I think that when you do post your pictures, just give the post the subject "Boys look away now". Us chaps will then know to not open the post :-)

That is the best feeling in the world. I am ashamed to say I have so many clothes that just don't fit!! I even brought them 7000miles with me with the hope. of fitting into them.

I forgot I had them so must have a thorough rummage in case there are other treasures I've forgotten about too!

Mine are affectionately known as 'Brunhildas' They have just brought out a pair with zip up pockets for phone/key and stuff - genius if not up there on the running catwalk of hip and trend. :)
