C25K W5D3 is in the books!! Whohoooo!!

You all told me - W5D3 with the 20 minute run is more of a mental block than a physical one, and you were right! I broke it down into 4 five minute increments, and the first two were tough, but once I got going, it wasn't bad at all. When I made it to 15 minutes, there was no stopping me!!

I was actually more concerned about my running partner - my dog Rosie. We've done the whole program together, and I wasn't sure she could do 20 minutes straight, but she did great too!

Thank you all for your encouragement - there's no stopping Rosie and I now!!

Well done, bet you feel superb!!! And Rosie too:) I graduated over a month ago now & still break my runs down mentally into 5 mins, it just seems more manageable that way. Look forward to hearing now your next few weeks go, you've got over the biggest hurdle now

Glad to hear it went well! My mutts like the intervals better than the straight blocks of running. I'm glad to hear Rosie could keep up.

Well done to you and Rosie.

Unfortunately there is a downside to running with your dog... they get so fit they want to go out and run everyday, and longer runs too!

Having done the training with our dog in the spring, he is now very fit and wants "big runs" all the time. He is also much more alert and turning into an unexhaustable puppy!

Happy running to you both.
