Is it 5KM walk/run/walk or 5KM run?

Hi folks

I'm a bit confused. I use my Ipod and it tells me the distance and time from door to door - 5 minute walk, then run, then 5 minute walk - should I only be measuring the 'run' bit? I have just finished W7R3 which was 4.87KM in 34'05 - Any advice? or am I just over-thinking this?

Ooh...Neither...W7R3 should be 5 mins walk, 25mins run, 5 mins walk. The distance is completely and I mean COMPLETELY irrelevant at this stage. Unless you are personally interested in knowing how far you travel in the time but you certainly shouldn't be trying to get to 5K yet or you will end up injured (I speak from experience !!)

Thanks for the advice - I guess I'm just analysing it too much x
