Poorly calf :(

So here I was completing week 6 and really thinking that I was going to finish the program in another 3 weeks injury free. My calf however has other ideas.

It started feeling a bit tight, so I lengthened the amount of time I was stretching for, thinking that I wasn't doing it for long enough. Then I felt a small tight lump at the back of my calf and it was red and really painful to the touch.

After consulting Dr. Google, I have diagnosed myself with a calf muscle tear. The bruising is coming out slowly and the lump is still there. Deep Freeze is my friend today.

So, the bad news is, no running for a couple of weeks. It's not going to stop me though, I am going to the gym tonight and will be using the dreaded cross trainer in order to keep up with my cardio so when I do get back to running again I don't have to go back too far.

Ah, well.....onwards and upwards :-)

  • Ooo that sounds nasty. Take care of that calf, and don't overwork it in the gym. x
