Pinto here - news from Beyond the Northern Wastes and it's not good.

On Friday I sent out the following missive - some may have seen it.

After two full days fighting the Evil Spore, Trusty Steed and I are in-stalled (ha ha) at the local Premier Stable.. It's rather fancy here.

Forays have gone well. Bartering has taken place and goods have been acquired.

I may well be back at my usual stable by the weekend with you-know-who. It'll be a bit of a let-down after this heroic work.

I may ask TS if I can stay with him and leave Unstable Lad and AA to fend for themselves.

No, that would be ignoble. TS wouldn't do that. I must model myself upon him and my time will come.

But today's news is not good. The Evil Spore has struck Trusty Steed. He is not well; he ails greatly with his breathing. I help when I can but fear that my best is not enough.

We will not be leaving the stable for a while. I tell myself that I am still up and around because I am healthier and have a greater stamina. Twaddle. It's more the case that I did less of the dangerous work so my lungs are not so damaged.

We will stay here until TS is well enough to travel then move to the far south where the air is drier.

I've sent a message to AA to let him know. He'll probably start slacking now but his is the less important problem at the moment so he'll have to fend for himself for a while.

Will send on news when I have some - hopefully good.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that! I hope you have sufficient supplies of tea and wads to keep you sustained til you are recovered sufficiently to knock out Evil Spore. Knock him off his perch! Give him one from me!!!!!

Bad news indeed. Hope TS's breathing improves with great speed and you both get out of the stable soon. Rest and plenty fluids are required when the Evil Spore is on the prowl.

Oh no, poor TS! Hope the ES hasn't done too much damage to his respiration. Things must be bad if a cup of tea cannot remedy the situation. You are a busy pinto indeed, what with ministering to TS in his hour of need AND doing all that aquiring of goods AND hanging about in wet places in the far North AND supervising AA from a distance. You'll be glad to get home to have a rest. What a good thing you are so fit and healthy from all that exercise you do.
