No running for a while and today...

So after more than 2 weeks of not running - and 10 days of not even walking at a decent pace, this morning I went out... Not a cloud in sight, the sun is warm, dog is so happy that her tail is not wagging, it looks more like a helicopter rotor at high speed!

Mind talk:

Will try 30 minutes, but if it's too much will stop at 20 and walk - Why am I doing this, I may just walk and pick the last blackberries - oh look, while I was away the neighbours changed the colour of their house - Will I manage to run? Look how many cars at the forest entrance - I hope won't meet anyone I know - it that means to stop, say hello... have a chat...

And so on for the 15 minutes it takes me to walk to the start of my usual route.

Switch on the ipod, decide between stepping stone or week 9 - opt for the latter, start running at the end of Julie and... stopped just short of 60 seconds before the end of the run! Yes, I did it! 30 minutes or maybe 31, and my speed was not slower than before the break

And for the good intentions: I will keep running and I will quit my Saturday job - parkruns here I come!
