I struggled with the last 5 minutes today despite a really good run on Wednesday and yet it was the same distance......there was no speeding up for the last minute today! onwards and upwards to W7R2....the end is in sight :)

That's the way it crumbles, cookiewise. Sometimes it just doesn't feel so good. Keep on at it though and it'll probably be better next time x

I'm not a stats freak, but I always get faster after about 10 mins. I start REAL slow though ...!

But you did it so blimmin good effort you. I wonder if, having such a good W6R3 you went off a bit enthusiastically on this one. Tempting, cos after Week 6 it does feel a bit like the world can be conquered!

Have discovered that going off too fast too early doesn't get it done quicker! This was not a new discovery: many wiser peeps already know this. I suppose I had to find it out for myself :)

I'm finding W7 a tough week, I did start off too fast on R1, I think I did exactly what Slookie says and went off too enthusiastic then had to slow down. I hope W7R2 is a better one for you.

I think you've all hit the nail on the head, I did start off too quickly, back to snails pace for me

No harm in starting off too fast every now and then. It's the only way to learn what "too fast" feels like, and thus also the only way to learn to accurately gauge just how fast you can consistently run. And, most importantly, you managed to get through it, even if it was a struggle towards the end. So well done you, you are doing great things for your body!
