On only my third park run I travelled over to Portrush and did a park run on the beach. It was lovely and friendly and the weather was amazing. It was so so so very very hard! I managed 45 minutes but I struggled with the uneven surface and walked for my own safety at times. I am such a clumsy person that I was worried about my ankles. I loved it though! Oddly I stood next to a man who knew Walsall well and whose ex wife lived in Pelsall. What are the chances! I am on holiday over here and back tomorrow but so glad I took the time to give it a go. Walsall arboretum seems like a walk in the park now.

Oooh that sounds a bit tough! But you did it! Yippee! Its all good training, and isn't it great that we can just turn up at any one we want to! x
That would have been a very tough run-- how hard is the sand packed?? I have tried to run on the beach here in Australia , but the sand is too fine and soft ( for me) . I also find when running closer to the water where the sand is harder , that the beach is sloped a bit and that tends to put me right off. We were in New Caledonia last week and we spent the day on the island of Mare . beautiful long beach - turquoise water - I saw a very fit young man running along the beach and considered doing it myself - but I had a heavy headcold and resisted - felt horrible at the time . But I now wish I had!!
Good on you for doing it.
