Wednesday I did 2000m in 11:07 this morning I decided to give it my best, the result 10:52, smashing my previous PB by 15 seconds. I wish I could run this fast
I'm still on the running injury bench but not back on the couch I've been fitted with Orthotics which are retraining my almost collapsed arch back into its correct position. Its early days yet, only time will tell if this will sort the PF which I was told was one of the worst cases the Osteopath had seen in a long time.
I decided I really couldn't cope with the long wait for NHS Physiotherapy without trying one more time.
Happy running everyone and have a good weekend

Looking good OG. You'll be popping up in next years Boat Race at this rate. Glad to hear your PF is being addressed and that things may be looking up at long last. Fingers crossed for you xx
Ooh - you have my every sympathy with PF (that's what scuppered my first attempt at C25k) but glad to hear you're under way with treatment. Good job with the rowing (Henley Regatta maybe?) and hope your foot and rowing continue to improve OldGirl.
Great work OG! Seems like you've been injured WAY too long if you're able to improve that much. But well done for not giving up on your fitness, and for channelling all that frustration about not being able to run into rowing faster. While it's not running, at least you can see some great progress
I wish that were true about toned muscles EVERYWHERE It is thankfully helping to keep my fitness up along with cycling and some swimming too. Rowing I'm finding can be very much a concentration thing as you constantly have your time right in front of you so you can fix on your stats and if you can keep up the strokes your on a winning streak. Me when I'm running I go off in a world of my own and just enjoy, especially if its through my beloved forest tracks, there is just nothing better than spending time jogging along with the sun shining through the branches of the trees, with a slight breeze to cool you down. It will always be my preference to any other exercise so here's hoping I get back out there.
