Redoing weeks

Morning!

So, I've made it to W6R3. About 6 times now. I have completed it a couple of times in one go already, but it was hard work and I'm determined to be able to do it and for it to feel easier than now.

So I've decided to get a few 25 min runs under my belt to make sure I can do it and it's not a fluke. Also to build stamina.

Anyone else purposely redoing weeks?

Paul

Yes -- I did it regularly while doing C25K -- and will continue to "redo" elements of future running plans that I intend to follow. There is one trainer who says that when we place an extra "load" onto our bodies ( say - an increased weekly mileage), we should do it for about 3 weeks before moving on. C25k is a programme to get couch potatoes running non-stop for 30 minutes in a short 9 weeks-- but it is a very quick programme that is only the smallest tip of a very large iceberg! :)

Nice to know Bazza. I'm already thinking this will take longer than thought, but I'm ok with that. After all, what else am I going to do? I've no plans to stop now!

No as I think it's meant to be progressive. You're meant to find it harder each week sort of thing. It matters not though. At the end of the day the plan is to finish the programme and Graduate, so if you have to re-do runs then that's what you have to do. I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy those runs and you'll be more likely to carry on running after Graduation

Have fun out there and let us know how you get on

The steady progress of the programme will help build stamina. But no harm in repeating, especially if it helps your confidence.

Well done on reaching this far - graduation is within reach :-)

Good luck and let us know how you get on :-)

It really doesn't matter how long it takes you to get to the end of the plan, because after all it's really only the beginning of your new running life, running is a habit, a passion not a length in distance or time..........enjoy your journey

The programme is designed to be used flexibly and it's not a race so you should do what feels right. You do know though that week seven is one of consolidation consisting of 3 x 25 minute runs. You might as well move on!

No! Ha ha! Seems like I've already done week 7 then :)

Hi, I have to say that although it is ok to repeat some runs I think it is better to move on at around the right pace. As others have said it is supposed to feel more difficult and although the later weeks look a bit daunting from that side, they aren't!!! Stamina comes fairly quickly as you work through weeks 7, 8 and 9 so if I were you I would move on. Otherwise the end of the programme will start to seem an awfully long way off!

Well done on getting this far and keep up the good work
