Hello friends, this is a copy of what is written on my just giving page, as you all know I run Sunday and I am not sure if I am excited or scared !! If any of you can spare a quid I would be so grateful, and if you cant just wish me luck .
Thanks to you all who supported, pushed and cajolled me thru the C25K, I honestly think I would have quit without the support, so glad I am where I am, running has had such a positive effect on my life, I am getting so much out of it, more then I ever anticipated.
Never ever run in my life,
not even for a 'bus, not even when our house burnt down in the 90's,
but I will do this, for someone very dear to me who is fighting her illness with such grace and dignity, and for two dear friends in America ( Jerry and Rog ) so if they can do that I will surely manage to run ( or bumble along like a baby elephant ) either way I will get there
Alice doesnt know it yet but she is my manager and running buddy, wish us luck
My sister Clare has kindly offered to run with me for support, so very grateful, I will need it !!
since writing this Clare has broke her toes so a second sister has stepped in. Alice , my 4 year old grand daughter will be walking with her Mum, my daughter and the sister with the broken toes !! Glad I am not with them , Alice says we have to walk Jog, run, skip, hop, do starjumps and walk like a crab, an oh yes sing !! I am running for my lovely grand daughter Jess who is fighting this disease, and with such grace, very humbling.
