Oooooh that looks a posh place!

Well done on your runs, and I'm glad your hip is ok.

I have a 10 mile run this weekend!!! Who'd a thought it! 8 months ago I was just taking my first nervous steps off the couch.

I went to Oxford for the first time recently and I absolutely loved it. We stayed at some uni halls of residence in the heart of the city. I didn't want to come home! I noticed how flat it was and that it would make perfect running territory. Next time I will take my running shoes. When we were there I was recovering from a crocked ankle. Grrr!

I am terrified about this run as I'm an old biddy and I am thinking they are gonna be serious blokes, experts in hill running kinda folks. Little ol me will be chugging and shuffling, and walking my way round. I could have picked something a little less challenging but it was local and it was there, so I entered it in a rush of blood 12 weeks ago. If it gets too hot I might expire completely. The first 5 k rises to 1000 feet. Oh shi*!

1000 feet thats a bit of a climb just run your own race dont worry about anybody else just think about yourself and the training you have done time is of no importance its crossing the finish line that counts ,oxford is similar to here ,its flat here until you go south than the hills come dont panic about your race its just another 10 miles you have got to run if you have a pre race wobble drop me a line on here or on the facebook page be glad to help take care and positive thinking
