astilla is lost to us, and i keep losing Dozzers post. I clicked on the Link to the helmet Nan made, and when i hit the arrow key on my browser it took me to some other post.

No, when i logged on, it said 'click here for upgrade' so i did. I am sure it woll sort out, nut its a bit of a mess just now.

Too bad it resulted in losing Andrew over them changing his name. I dont think i would have quit over it, but I guess he has higher standards than me on the subject of system upgrades.

Try using it on a mobile phone! I somehow -and I haven't a single clue how- found myself on another HU support forum. Lung health, or something not dissimilar. I was reading thread titles and realised I didn't recognise the names of anyone. And none of it had anything to do with running. Then I realised I was elsewhere. Not any idea at all how that happened!

Do you suppose the same sort of upgrade might have been why we had that brief flurry of posts to do with fertility treatments and such? Maybe they were getting tossed into the wrong forum like you were.

The first one - I quit and came back with a new name. I came back after being nagged. In truth I'd become very demoralised by all the pressure to improve, go faster, times, distances, etc., there seems to be little else on the forum these days. If you look at the post "Where's Fitmo" you can see, about halfway down, my explanation for leaving. I seriously doubt that HU would have changed my name to what it is now - the middle bit reflects another of my little interests! Best wishes. Fitmo

That would make sense actually. One would never post such queries in C25K unless you were magically transported here and didn't realise. I didn't notice at first; it'd be easy to just hit the create post button without checking (and why would you check?!) and end up posting in the wrong section, through no fault of your own. I do remember the odd flurry of pregnancy questions not long ago. That would explain it, good thinking!

Oh dear. Some of us have been 'invited' to beta-test the new site over the past couple of weeks - there were so many bugs and missing pieces. I have bombarded them with feedback (once I found how to - that took a couple of days) but I don't know if it's been of any use.

Tried that several times and everything seized up bit like me after a 10k! So e mailed em an got a sarky "didn't you look at the small print stuff" so I thought well you asked me to test run it so I'll stick to the old one if that's your attitude but I'll give it another go cos feel a bit like fitmo at the moment old sites getting Too competitive for me

That's a bit rich of them, particularly as in the beta invite email they didn't make it at all clear where the mysterious feedback button was (I couldn't find it for ages because it was hidden under the dock icons on my Mac).

Please do stick with it though, they might fix these things (she says hopefully!) and it would be such a shame to lose any more people from the community.

I do have that, weird that it comes up with 2 choices at a time. You pick one, it gives you 2 more. Seemed like there were some repeats, but one i wanted to have a second chance to pick, never came up again. A few pairings later, i had no interest in either choice,. Rather than randomly choose, i just stopped.

I posted quite a few of my own 'ideas', (ie feedback) though only one has ended up in the 'what should we add next' voting list.

There is one main thing about the beta site I don't like - that's how you can no longer differentiate between original posts and 'my activity'. So if your (or anyone else's) posts form a blog diary of your running adventures, you can no longer access them in one place.

Also when you create a post you still have to select whether it's a question or a general post, but there's no way of seeing which is which in the news feed... what's the point of that?

I think they are trying to improve, this happened before when it changed, and so many people went then which was so sad....I like to think that as runners, whatever fall or bad run we have to endure that we will perservere...because its the people on here that matter, not how it looks.....

The strange thing is I don't think I'm on the new live site. I still have the beta site on my Mac, and here on my laptop it's the old site. I've logged out and logged in again but nothing has changed. Weird.
