36. 00 smack on , my personal best last year was 35.46 . It says I came first in my age grading & my age grade score was 50 .28% any one know what all this means I like sound a coming first in something in that run lol , it was the Pits !!

That's a decent result after curry and cobra, I reckon: I couldn't do any better! I'd be terrified of doing a Parkrun - far too many people watching me lumber round!

Basically, they look at the world record for 5k in your age range, and then show your time as a percentage of that. It means that you can compare your time with someone of a different age... the teenagers are obv. running faster than us, but the world record for 5k is much faster for them too. Age grade is how 'good' you are for your age. And that's a great run.

Thanks markyD that's cheered me up . It's not a flat run either . I've had all different 5k times this week all different routes. best was 33.46 .

Ha ha , I have never been as close to packing a run in as I did that Misswobble , I'd just set off & I felt sick ! Never felt that way before & just like I cannot hack this today . But alls well that ends well it soon passed when that thunder rumbled & that rain woke me up .
