Well 8.40 am on a sunny Sunday morning and off we went: Me and Laura and You and Julie for the warm up walk. Daughter no. 1, a regular runner had nagged me into doing more pre-run stretches - I did and they seem to have helped as no muscle aches. All went pretty well until about the final 5 minutes when I had to dig deep to keep going. My watch had average pace hovering just under the 11 mins per mile mark and I was determined not to flag and let it go higher. Who would have thought that a couple of months ago I was only doing alternate 60 seconds of running / 90 seconds of walking and sooo looking forward to those 90 second stages. In week 8, near the end, Laura says "you should be feeling pretty tired by now. If not, you might consider upping your pace next time" - leave it aht Laura as they say in this neck of the woods (or haddaway and sh1te where I originated from). In week 9, she reverts to keeping going to the end which I did. I did 2.72 miles in the 30 minutes - a week 9 PB for me ;-)

Look at you, steaming ahead of us other Niners! :D Well done, Dytham! You've done splendidly well and it looks like you had a grand old run today. :-) Two runs left for you now - nearly there! :-)

Thanks for all of the replies guys. My motto, M_Y, has always been "never put off until tomorrow what you can do today". Actually, that is a total lie, the reality is more usually "don't put it off until tomorrow if you can leave it until the day after". Plenty of scope to catch me up over my double "rest" days - my next runs should be Tues or Weds, then Friday graduation.
