another hurdle another jump

this week and last week i had a few problems running at distance tight chest and having to keep stopping ,so after a visit to the doctors it seems i been suffering from hay fever /asthma never really had much of this before so ive been a bit worried with the hm in 2 weeks ,gp has give me two inhalers one brown twice a day and the blue to take when needed ,i ran a 10k in the week and had to keep stopping finished that in 47.30 so last night i set out for the first time armed with inhaler for a test run ,i change my route and all my music and off we went ,the first four miles were not pretty it took me a a bit to settle but i got to six and carried on to the 8 mile mark and had a notion to do a half so i did i felt really strong wasnt pushing so hard and just got in to the run and i have to say it was one of the best runs ive had finished in 1hr 44 .58 and didnt have to stop once joy oh jo faith has been restored and im now ready for the hm , so so far ive had knee probs had to change my running style and now this so the moral of this story is you may be down but you still can get up and dont give in have a good weekend and happy running all

  • Glad you got your inhalers moger, I hope they manage to sort things out for you. Sounds like all is well from your test run. Its amazing how you can be knocked back and get back up again isn't it. Another PB at my Parkrun today, I knocked a few seconds off, so onwards and upwards x

  • thanks no excuse well done on your pb thats great and yes i dont like to be beat by any health stuff
