Despite too much wine, dragged myself out and did it! Not sure of my time yet but the lady in front was awesome!! I think she said 24mins!! When I grow up I want to be just like her! Have a great weekend everyone :)

Well done, I am feeling really bad as I chickened out today but went to the gym treadmill instead and had to pull up after ten minutes as I had pains in my leg. Probably wouldn't have happened if I had done Parkrun instead. Lovely picture.

Thank you - it was hard to go today and had to force myself. I am not a morning runner although I felt much better afterwards. Hope your leg is going be okay. I'm not keen on treadmills but have to use them occasionally when I go away. Frightened of getting lost in new places. Lol :)

I like the pic Carole, it looks as though you had good weather too. Have you got your time yet? I was 30 secs slower this week but it was a good run and rained for a bit which I love but the wind was just about everywhere! X

Thank you :) the weather looked good but it was very, very windy. It wasn't really a fast one at 31 minutes, 50th female out of 260 runners. I'm not too worried as it would have been so easy to look at the clock, turn over and go back to sleep!!! Good for you getting out there too. Still unsure about parkruns, it can be a bit of a battle getting past people! ...looking forward to my long canal run Monday. Nice to hear from you x

That's a great time, mine was 34:58, I'm going to work on getting it below 30, don't know if I can do it though, maybe one of these days. I never have the problem with battling past people! But, I do enjoy the Parkruns its good to do something different and there are a lot of friendly people there. x

Glad you like them and yes you are right about doing something different, I don't think I would be a regular though x

Yeeeahhhh baby!! Great pic. Well done for completing a parkrun WITH hangover. Amazeballs. I'm not sure how I managed mine as was suffering from wine-itis, but incredibly I was only 24 secs slower thN last week. And you're right - it IS hard to get past people isn't it? But then I've only done two so have yet to work out a plan. Well done once again!

Thank you Dan and that wine-itis is catching!! Always seems to flare up at the weekends?? Well done on your run too. I think the plan may be wide elbows!! Keep posting :)

Well done Carole ! I'd be proud of 31 minutes.....I'm nowhere near that for 5K ...slowcoach moi !

I like my solo running ,so I'm not sure how I'd feel about doing Parkrun..though the choice/decision is immaterial at the moment as there's nothing like that where I am.

Fab picture :)

Thank you Carole - I'm hard on myself and gracious to everybody else. Not sure where you live but they tend be within 10 miles- I think? They are good to try but not a regular thing for me. Good luck! and is it 12k this week for you? x

I'll see how the knee feels this week ....the left one has given me some problems on and off since end of last year,it's been a bit twingey since last Wednesday's longer run.

I'm in France....quite rural,so no Parkrun !

How beautiful! - Who needs parkruns in France anyway! Hope your knee starts easing soon and best not to overdo it. Take your time, we have lots of it!! I'll think of you the next time I feel wine-itis coming on- that Chablis really doesn't help!! :)
