W1 run 2 blister issues :-(

So chuffed to have done second run of the first week and despite the freezing rain and whippy wind, I managed fine. Felt great apart from my bleeding sore Achilles spot where my trainers have rubbed til raw. Nightmare!! I'm going to get some new daps but that won't be for another week when I get paid. Any tips for protecting my sore foot? The plaster I popped on it was soaked with blood! I don't want to stop now I've got started!!!!

Compeed plasters are great for protection Not cheap but work like magic Havnt had any blisters caused by running but maybe you need to look at your shoes and socks to try and find what's causing them Sorry can't be more helpful but am sure someone else will have good advice on trying to prevent future blisters

I got good sports socks in sainsburys of all places. They are elasticated around middle of your foot to stop them slipping and are higher at back so your shoes don't rub, they're great!! But might be worth considering looking at different shoes as there's nothing worse than a blister there!!

Primark do some good sports socks too same as above and three pairs for £2 or so I love them, but not suffered blisters from running yet , hope they clear up asap
