The difficult decision to postpone my Graduation...

I was planning to do the last run of Week 9 today and Graduate before we go to Cornwall tomorrow. But I have reluctantly taken the difficult decision to postpone it until next Tuesday when we come back. My husband and I did a very long walk on Chesil Beach last Sunday, if you have been there you will know it consist of large pebbles and is very difficult walk on. Unfortunately, it has caused 'twinges' of my old hip/bum problem and although I managed a good run on Tuesday (my fastest yet), I find that today I am still aware of it. We will be doing a lot of walking over the weekend in Cornwall and I really don't want to be in pain. Also, I have got steadily faster with each run and although I could struggle through today if I tried, I want to finish on a high, not a crawl across the finish line... :) Happy running over the weekend everyone!

I think it's a good decision. As we progress we become more aware of our bodies and know that we also have to allow recovery periods and be kind to it.

Definitely finish on a high if you can. You're still exercising by walking over the weekend, so listen to your body. Enjoy your weekend and your final run.

I agree it's a good decision. You can go and enjoy yourself on holiday and look forward to a really good graduation when you get home. Best wishes.

Thanks everyone. In the New Year I promised myself I would complete C25K before our weekend away and I was so close. But if I have learnt anything it is to listen to my body. So be it.
